I think and am pretty sure I lost my ipod touch at the movie theatre (cineplex odeon) because i think it fell out of my bag, I was just wondering should I call them and see if they found any ipod touches lately, or will they say they aren’t responsible for lost items.

Go ahead and call. If it is in the lost and found, and they have one, you will almost definitely get it back (make sure you can identify it in some way before seeing it, such as the wallpaper or a distinctive case/faceplate, or that your name is in it somewhere, in case they require evidence that it was yours and you’re not just saying "hey, got any iPods? Yeah, that one’s mine").
If you can spare the time, I would suggest returning to the theater and asking if you can see whoever is in charge of the lost and found. If nobody is, just ask to see a manager (so as not to take up the time of a ticketer or concession stand agent) and explain the situation. If it is not in the lost and found, ask to see the area where you think you lost it (between movies, if you can’t tell a helpful enough manager exactly which seat you were in). It may have fallen inside of a seat, where the cleanup staff wouldn’t necessarily have found it.
Do try to return to the theater soon, though. If you wait too long, the statute of limitations on the lost and found may run out, and the number of people who could have found it and not turned it in increases.
