In a basketball movie called Glory Road, the coach says to one of the players "Your ankle deep in the floor". What does that mean?

I didn't see the movie but ankle deep to me would mean you're stuck your feet are stuck to the floor you're not moving

It means this player is so tall, the other players reach only to his ankle.

Or, he's running so slow, it is as if his feet are sunk ankle deep into the floor.

I didn't see the movie so I don't know if it was a compliment or an insult.

Here is a definition that also supplies a few baseball expressions in the definition
so is it straight forward, i.e. you can't really go anywhere, can't move or is it
referring to the definition supplied (could be) a code for "hitting the ball" in a certain direction
???do they do code stuff in baseball??? don't know, never watched or played it
